Welcome to Sandoval Elementary School, a school where wonderful things takMrs. Melanie Brink, SGS Principale place.  The staff is very dedicated to making this school a place where students can learn the skills needed to become productive citizens.  Being a part of this school and community is something that all of us can be proud of. 
We are working to make Sandoval C.U.S.D. 501 the core of the community.  We have many businesses, agencies, and organizations that work in conjunction with the school.  These organizations include The Sandoval Community of SHALOM, the Sandoval Police and Fire Departments, the Little Stars Learning Center, Casey’s General Store, BP, the City of Sandoval , and the Sandoval Bank.  Many individuals have donated their time, efforts and resources to promote the programs and activities that take place here.
It is our hope that you will unite with us in our efforts to make our school “Second to None.”  Come visit us to be a part of all the exciting things that are taking place at SANDOVAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL !


Brink received her bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Illinois University, and her administrative certificate from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. She received her master's degree from Rockford College, and is currently earning her Ph.D. in curriculum instruction from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

She says even though this is her educational administration position, she has been a teacher for fifteen-years, teaching Pre-K, kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grade. She recently taught gifted education for 1st through 8th grade at the Pontiac-William Holliday School in Fairview Heights.
