Sandoval Elementary School recognized Students of the Month for February. The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of HONESTY, such as telling the truth at all times regardless of the consequences, being reliable, showing loyalty to friends by refraining from gossip or hurtful words, and being trustworthy. The assembly this month was sponsored by Pisces Pools and Spas of Odin, Vandalia and Flora.
Those selected were Avalynn Marcketti, Jaxon Stewart, Kashley Smith, Aliyana Timmons, Heavenly Lafour, Emery Engelhardt, Gauge Shook, Carter Whitaker, Kyson Hays, Riley Schwab, Adelyn Ashley, Connor Stewart, Trent Bates and Morgan Sussen. BIG THANKS to Dr. Hyten from Hyten Dental in Carlyle for coming to teach our kindergarten students about keeping their teeth healthy! We had fun learning with your story, puppet, and quiz! Thank you for the special stickers and new toothbrushes for the students too! Sandoval Kindergarten gives you thumbs up with a big WOOOOO and THANK YOU! 😁

Sandoval Elementary School recognized the Students of the Month for January. The students were chosen because of their outstanding display of SELF DISCIPLINE in showing self control of emotions and feelings, working hard even when no one is watching, giving their best at all times even when something is difficult, and having a positive "can do" attitude. The sponsor for this month was Wal-Mart.
Those receiving the honor were Ryker Anderson, Liam Morton, Kiercyn Higgins, Annabelle White, Jayda Clark, Kru McWhirter, Lydia Horn , Nevaeh Nolte , Peyton Brown, Madison Amburgey, Hunter Wilkes, Qwintierre Shackleford, Josiah Tate, and Alyssa Jones. Sandoval CUSD 501 Families: Due to the poor road conditions in the rural areas, Sandoval Schools will be using an E-Learning Day Tuesday, January 31st for all students. Please refer to your teacher's instructions for work during E-Learning Days.

Sandoval Grade School Kindergarten class is pictured shouting a big THANK YOU to Miss Kailynn Kruep and Miss Cecelia Havrilka from Mater Dei High School. Miss Kailynn and Miss Cecelia have completed their 3 week Senior Service Project here at Sandoval Grade School. For their Senior Service Project they volunteered as classroom helpers in Kindergarten and PreK. We appreciate their encouraging words and helping hands! They did an AMAZING JOB!


Attention Blackhawk Families:
The Sandoval Police Department has notified us that the situation in town has been resolved and that both schools are clear to come off of lockdown. Regular Dismissal will take place at 2:45pm at the Elementary School and 2:55pm at the Jr/Sr High School. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Attention Blackhawk Families:
The Sandoval Police Department has made us aware of a possible situation in town. Due to that both schools have been asked to go on lockdown. No persons will be allowed to enter or leave the school until we get further information from Law Enforcement.

Congratulations to our Sandoval Elementary 2nd Quarter High Honor Roll and Honor Roll students. We are proud of you, keep up the good work!


Sandoval CUSD School's will resume tomorrow January 4th 2023 with classes. Schools will run on Wednesday schedule with the Elementary school dismissing at 2:10pm and the Jr/Sr high school dismissing at 2:20pm. We hope everyone had a fantastic break and we can't wait to see everyone back in school tomorrow.
